Audio Review: 'Annavaram' Songs Appealing For All Ears 2006-Dec-17

All the songs in 'Annavaram' album are worth listening but a couple of songs go with haunting appeal and touching mood.

Jarra Soodu Mehabooba:
This song can be called the best in the album that appeals masses and beat lovers. There is haunting appeal in it. The song starts in the style of Mani Sharma's score but slowly depicts the Gogula's mark. The song goes slow but active through out. The lyrics written by Chandrabose widely appeal to the ears of listeners. H eusage of words like 'Nakha Sikha Shaka laka' denotes that it's a fusion lyric mixing Sanskrit and western connotations. It appears for many listeners as if the song should continue for another stanza since it soothes the senses.

Rakshasa Rajyam Rankelu Vesthu:
This song appears to have scored on beaten track but lyrically sounds heavy. The song goes fast in an aggressive way. The lyrics are penned by Masterji and they are good. Shankarmahadevan is the right choice for song and change of track at last pumps interest.

Lucia:
This sounds average in the album for not bearing any novelty. This mediocre number should be depicted well on screen to cover the 'lack of variety'.

Annayya Annavantey:
This song sounds touching and certainly sits in the archives of 'brother-sister' songs. The usage of words by Chandrabose like 'Naa Pranamaina Chellisthaanamma' certainly gives a sentimental appeal in the voice of Mano. The expression that Seetha wouldn't have faced problems had she had a brother is old. The same is used by Chadrabose in the first stanza of lyric.

Neevalle Neevalle:
This is another mediocre song in the album that cannot din in the ears for loner time. There is no haunting appeal in the composition.

Film Talk: 'Annavaram' For Rs. 70 Lakhs and 'Rakhi' For Rs.30 Lakhs 2006-Dec-17

The audio cassette buyers have decreased to greater extent and many are listening to music through online with the advent of internet technology. But still the audio cassettes and Cds of big heroes enjoy good market.

The Audio rights of 'Annavaram' were sold out at Rs. 70 lakhs for Aditya Music and 'Rakhi' was sold out for Supreme at Rs. 30 Lakhs.

It is obvious that half of the amount will come back within 2-3 weeks of audio release while the remaining recovery depends on the performance of film at box-office (only for big heroes' films). Supreme bout 'Bommarillu' at around 15 lakhs and the profit was around Rs. 20 lakhs. Now, we have to wait and see how far Rakhi brings financial success again for Supreme.

Star Talk: Asin's Photographs Used for 'Cyber Love'! 2006-Dec-17

It is already known that the morphed images of heroines are being circulated and forwarded among the 'netizens'. Now, people have gone beyond that by hacking the mail ids of heroines and also chatting with others in the disguise of heroines' names.

Asin says, "I had some bad experiences. Initially I used to get thousands of mails. I also used to reply for sensible mails. But some one hacked my id and started giving replies on my name. From then I stopped to give replies through that id. A lady used my photographs and carried cyber love with a Canadian. Fans do such things but all the repercussions should be faced by me".

This is certainly a curtain-riser for new way of pestering heroines, which is highly condemnable.
